Specialists from Lebapgazçykaryş have commissioned a new gas well, Hazarly–2, drilled by the Marynebitgazgözleg expedition of the State Corporation Türkmengeologiýa, Turkmenistan’s official media reported Tuesday.
The well is located at the Hazarly site near the Bovrideshik gas field and is the first to begin industrial production in the area.
The new well has a daily output of 120,000 cubic meters of natural gas. Its commissioning will increase the supply of environmentally friendly fuel, which is in demand both domestically and abroad.
The rise in production has contributed to higher export deliveries. Gas exports exceeded the planned target by nearly 41%, equivalent to an additional 1.38 billion cubic meters supplied to foreign consumers.
Since the beginning of the year, gas producers under the management have extracted 20.908 billion cubic meters of hydrocarbons, making a significant contribution to the national economy.
