National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, during a visit to the United States, met with John Riese, president of Nicklaus Companies, and members of the company’s management team.
The sides noted the positive experience accumulated in cooperation with Nicklaus Companies and discussed plans to build modern golf courses in the city of Arkadag and within the Avaza national tourist zone.
Riese invited Berdimuhamedov to review a number of projects considered significant for development in Avaza and Arkadag. During the presentation, examples of golf courses developed with the participation of Nicklaus Companies were also showcased.
After reviewing the proposed projects, Berdimuhamedov said the construction of golf courses in Arkadag and Avaza would complement the wide range of social facilities being built across the country and expressed confidence in the continued development of effective cooperation with Nicklaus Companies.
Following the project presentations, Berdimuhamedov held talks with Eric Stewart, executive director of the Turkmenistan–U.S. Business Council.
As part of the U.S. visit, Berdimuhamedov also toured Panther National Golf Club.
