President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a decree during a Cabinet of Ministers meeting on Friday authorizing the construction of two secondary schools, each with a capacity of 720 students, a kindergarten for 320 children and a Health Center in the Bagyr residential area of Ashgabat’s Buzmeyin district.

According to Turkmenistan’s official media, the document was adopted to ensure the successful implementation of the objectives outlined in the “Programs of the President of Turkmenistan of social-economic development of the country in 2022-2028,” as well as to further enhance the architectural and urban appearance of the capital during the Revival of the New Era of the Powerful State.

Under the decree, the Ashgabat municipality has been authorized to sign contracts with local construction companies for the design and construction of the two 720-seat secondary schools, the 320-seat kindergarten and the Health Center, including landscaping of the surrounding areas, in the capital’s Buzmeyin district.

Construction work is scheduled to begin in May 2026. The schools and kindergarten are expected to be fully ready for operation in September 2027, while the Health Center is scheduled for completion in October 2027.
