Turkmenistan Plans to Build 50 Health Centers

Turkmenistan plans to build 50 rural health centers, with 10 facilities to be constructed in each of the country's five provinces — Ahal, Balkan, Dashoguz, Lebap and Mary.

The Ministry of Construction and Architecture, acting on behalf of the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry, has announced a tender for the construction of the health centers, according to Friday's edition of the newspaper Türkmenistan.

Interested companies are invited to submit applications and proposals to the Marketing and Foreign Economic Relations Department of the Ministry of Construction and Architecture in accordance with the established procedures. The deadline for submitting bids is August 19.

The Ministry of Construction and Architecture also announced a separate tender, on behalf of the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry, for the construction of a modern 30-bed hospital in the city of Garabogaz in Turkmenbashi district of Balkan province. Bids for that project will also be accepted until Aug. 19.
