Private companies from Turkmenistan operating in the energy, smart transport and logistics, and critical minerals sectors are invited to participate in the CAREC Business Forum 2026 (CBF), which will take place in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, from Sept. 30 to Oct. 1, 2026. The Forum is organized by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) as the Secretariat of the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) Program and will be held on the sidelines of the 25th CAREC Ministerial Conference, the organizers reported.
The Forum's first day will focus on the theme "Unlocking Investment for Infrastructure Transformation," while the second day will center on "Mongolia in the Regional Spotlight." The program includes three sector-specific subforums — Energy & Interconnectivity, Smart Transport & Logistics, and Critical Minerals — aimed at expanding investment opportunities and addressing barriers to private sector-led infrastructure development.
The agenda also features high-level plenary sessions, expert panel discussions, sectoral subforums, and business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-government (B2G) meetings.
According to the organizers, the Forum will provide a platform for direct engagement with senior government officials from CAREC member countries, industry representatives from Asia and Europe, regional investors, ADB leadership, and development partners. Participants will also have opportunities to meet representatives of private companies, small and medium-sized enterprises, startups, development finance institutions, government agencies, state-owned enterprises, business associations, chambers of commerce, and providers of infrastructure and financing services.
