Senior officials discussed the agenda for the upcoming Central Asia–Republic of Korea Summit during their third preparatory meeting in Astana, Kazakhstan, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry reported on Saturday.

The meeting brought together the deputy foreign ministers of South Korea, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan, as well as the Kyrgyz ambassador to Astana.

Participants agreed on the main elements of the summit's agenda and program. They also reviewed the current state of cooperation between South Korea and the Central Asian countries, as well as prospects for expanding ties.

The sides reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening cooperation in areas of mutual interest between South Korea and the Central Asian states.
