An open joint-stock company Maksat deri, based in Mary, exported more than 70% of its processed leather products in the first half of 2026, the newspaper Turkmenistan reported on Friday.
According to the report, the company exports semi-finished and finished leather products to Türkiye, Pakistan, Russia and Uzbekistan. During the reporting period, the enterprise processed 36 million square decimeters of leather, with most of the output supplied to foreign markets.
The company has installed equipment from European manufacturers, as well as new advanced technologies from Italian and Turkish companies. The enterprise processes more than 30,000 cattle hides each month. After reaching its planned production capacity, the company expects to double its output and create about 100 new jobs.
Maksat deri has more than 20 years of experience and produces various types of leather for the footwear, furniture and automotive industries, as well as for garment production and other leather goods. The company’s products, supplied to domestic and international markets, are made from high-quality raw materials using modern technologies and in accordance with international quality standards.
