Turkmen President Expected to Attend Astana Meeting on AI Security

President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, during a telephone conversation with National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, expressed he greatly looks forward to President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov attending the Akaba Process meeting on “Security in Artificial Intelligence,” which will be held in Astana in early November this year, Turkmen state media reported on Tuesday.

According to the report, the strategic partnership between Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan is developing consistently, with the results of the state visit by the President of Turkmenistan to Kazakhstan last November giving significant impetus to the development of bilateral relations.

During the telephone conversation, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev confirmed Kazakhstan’s support for Turkmenistan’s proposals to hold three important summits in the Avaza National Tourist Zone in October, namely the Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asian countries and the Republic of Azerbaijan, the meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the CIS and the Caspian Environmental Summit. He also confirmed his participation in these forums.

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev also expressed gratitude to the National Leader of the Turkmen people for Turkmenistan joining the Treaty on Friendship, Good-Neighborliness and Cooperation for the Development of Central Asia in the 21st Century.

The National Leader of the Turkmen people expressed that Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan are making significant efforts to strengthen regional cooperation and emphasized the importance attached to President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s upcoming visit to Turkmenistan.
