New schools and kindergartens have opened in Turkmenistan to mark the start of the 2026-2027 academic year. The new educational institutions provide the necessary facilities for students and children to study and receive care in modern conditions, Turkmenistan’s official media reported.
A new 960-seat secondary school has opened in the village of Gokdepe in the T.Bayramdurdyyev municipality of Gokdepe district, Ahal region. Specialists from the Shadyan Gurlushyk Economic Society built the two-story facility. The school’s classrooms are equipped with modern multimedia equipment and computers, and facilities have also been created for learning labor skills and participating in various sports.
A new 320-seat kindergarten has also opened in the Garashsyzlyk municipality of Tejen district. Built by the Hyrydar private enterprise, the kindergarten provides children with suitable conditions to develop skills through play, receive care and spend their leisure time.
In addition, an opening ceremony was held for a new kindergarten in Dashoguz city, Dashoguz region. The modern building was designed with the characteristics of different age groups in mind, providing conditions for children’s balanced development and enjoyable leisure time. A 240-seat kindergarten was also opened in the Gülüstan residential area of the regional center. Its two-story building includes language laboratories, computer equipment and multimedia boards.
Two new secondary schools have also opened in the Charjew and Farap districts of Lebap region. The 400-seat Secondary School No. 28, opened in the village of Duruyap in the Hojayly municipality of Charjew district, was built by the Astana Gurlushyk Economic Society. The new school occupies 3.5 hectares and has 34 classrooms, 12 multipurpose rooms, as well as computer and language laboratories.
The 600-seat Secondary School No. 24, built in the village of Bozaryk in the Garamysh municipality of Farap district, occupies 3 hectares and was constructed by builders from the Bash Nur Economic Society. The new school has 44 classrooms, four language laboratories and two computer rooms. Two of the language laboratories are intended for advanced study of English and two for Russian.
The new educational institutions include spacious classrooms, modern educational equipment, interactive multimedia systems, libraries, halls for sports and cultural activities, and rooms for learning labor skills. Kindergartens include playrooms and sleeping rooms for different age groups, as well as language and computer rooms.
