Turkmen Company to Produce Plastic Films and Water Pipes
Eşretli Kenar Individual Enterprise was established in 2016.

Eshretli Kenar, the private company in Turkmenistan’ eastern province of Mary, launched its new modern production facility to produce polyethylene bags, films and polypropylene pipes. The factory was constructed and equipped by Turkmen company “Älemabat” on a turnkey contract.

The plant is designed for production of 1,800 tons of polyethylene films and 257 tons of polypropylene water pipes annually. The raw materials for the production – polypropylene (PP) and high-density polyethylene (HDPE) – will be supplied by Turkmenbashy Refinery Complex and the polymer plant in Kiyanly settlement of the Balkan province.

The Turkmenbashy oil refinery has a refining capacity of more than 10 million tons of oil per year. The refinery produces a range of products, including polypropylene, unleaded gasoline, petroleum coke, road bitumen, laundry detergent, hydro-treated diesel, and lube oil. The complex is the flagship of oil refineries industry of Turkmenistan.

The gas chemical complex in Kiyanly has an annual capacity of 386,000 tons of HDPE and more than 81,000 tons of polypropylene. The $3.4 billion complex was commissioned in 2018 and implemented by the Turkmengaz State Concern together with LG Corporation, Hyundai Engineering Co. Ltd. (South Korea) and TOYO Engineering Corporation (Japan).
