Turkmen officials are in St. Petersburg to participate in the International Economic Forum. The delegation is headed the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) is a unique event in the world of business and economics. SPIEF has been held since 1997, and since 2006, it has been held under the auspices of the President of the Russian Federation, who has also attended the events.
Over the last 21 years, the Forum has become a leading global platform for members of the business community to meet and discuss key economic issues concerning Russia, emerging markets, and the entire world.
The delegation is taking part in the plenary session of the Forum.
Turkmen officials will also hold a number of bilateral meetings aimed at strengthening Turkmenistan’s cooperation with other states and international organizations.
The main events of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum will take place at the ExpoForum Convention and Exhibition Centre on 6–8 June.
