The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum took place on 6-8th of June in Russia bringing together more than 17 thousand representatives from 75 countries, including from Turkmenistan. The delegation of Turkmenistan participated in the main session of the Forum and held bilateral meetings.
According to the TASS News Agency, KAMAZ plans to conclude a contract with Turkmenistan for the supply of 1 thousand trucks a year. The General Director of the company informed journalists about the ongoing talks during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
The KAMAZ company was established in 1969 in the city of Naberezhnye Chelny, Tatarstan. The first KAMAZ-5320 vehicles were manufactured in 1976. In July 2009, the KAMAZ trade and service training complex was opened in Ashgabat.
