A delegation of the Union of Youth of Uzbekistan visited Turkmenistan on a working trip. During the visit organized by the Central Council the Makhtumkuli Youth Organization of Turkmenistan, the guests got acquainted with the historical and cultural sights of the country.
The guests noted the great respect for Turkmen national values in Uzbekistan and informed about their intentions to organize such visits on a regular basis between the youth organizations of the two countries.
The director of the Youth Union in the Bukhara region of Uzbekistan noted that Turkmen students study in higher and secondary educational institutions of the country while the number of Turkmen students is over 30 in Bukhara alone.
Last year, during the visit of the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to Uzbekistan, cooperation agreements were signed between several educational institutions of the two countries. Youth organizations, trade unions, unions of women and television stations of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan had also signed bilateral documents for the first time.
