Preparations are underway for the opening ceremony of a natural gas to gasoline production plant set for June 28 in the Ahal velayat. Equipped with advanced technologies from well-known global manufacturers, the plant is unique in many ways. For the first time in world practice, the production of synthetic automobile fuel from natural gas will be carried out on an industrial scale.
The design capacity of the new plant is 600 thousand tons of gasoline that meets environmental requirements of the Euro-5 standard, as well as 12 thousand tons of refined diesel fuel and 115 thousand tons of liquefied gas per year.
The implementation of this large-scale investment project is of great importance for the diversification and strengthening of the export potential of the oil and gas complex of Turkmenistan. The widespread introduction of advanced technologies in the fuel and energy complex, and modern scientific and technical developments are considered important in the context of solving environmental issues.
