Turkmen and Afghan Officials Held Talks in Herat
Turkmen and Afghan officials signed bilateral documents on cooperation in the field of railway transport and electric power industry.

Turkmen delegation headed by the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov arrived on a working visit to the city of Herat, the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan on June 16, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reports.

During the two-day visit, the Turkmen delegation had a meeting with Mohammаd Humayun Qayumi, the Advisor to the President of Afghanistan on infrastructure, acting Minister of Finance, and co-chairman of the Afghan part of the Intergovernmental Commission on trade-economic cooperation.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss implementation of the agreements reached between the Heads of the two states during the official visit of the President of Afghanistan to Turkmenistan in February, 2019.

At the end of the meeting, the sides signed bilateral documents on cooperation in the field of railway transport and electric power industry.
