Turkmen President Makes a Working Trip to Balkan Province

The President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made a working trip to Balkan province, where he inspected the Avaza National Tourist Zone, assessing the development of tourism and sanatorium infrastructure, and the ecological condition of the resort on the Caspian coast, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan (TDH) reports.

During the inspection, the Head of State gave the relevant executives specific orders for the further improvement and greening of Avaza’s territories, and the competent operation of its facilities, including the road and transport system.

The President of Turkmenistan also visited the Turkmenbashi International Seaport and held an on-site meeting with the participation of the Chairman of the Mejlis, deputy prime ministers, heads of military and law enforcement agencies, and the khyakim of the Balkan province.

During the meeting, the Head of State heard reports on preparatory activities for the first Caspian Economic Forum, which will be held in August. An exhibition of innovative technologies and the auto show Türkmen sährasy - 2019 will also be a part of this large-scale international event.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov instructed the meeting participants on the organizational issues of holding the Caspian Economic Forum, as well as on maintaining the favorable environmental background of Avaza.

After the meeting, the Head of State examined the premises in the port area set aside for exhibitions to be held on the sidelines of the first Caspian Economic Forum.

At the exhibition of innovative technologies, the Turkmen side will be allocated 880 square meters, foreign companies will set up their expositions on an area of ​​1,332 square meters.

The President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov also visited the site of the international auto show "Türkmen sährasy - 2019".
