Turkmenistan Offers Saudi Arabia to Pursue Joint Energy Projects

The President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov offered partners from Saudi Arabia to consider implementing joint projects in the oil and gas sector.

"Turkmenistan is rich in hydrocarbon resources and is guided by a policy aimed at using these resources for the benefit of the people, and supplying them to world markets," the Head of state said during a meeting with State Minister, Member of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Emir Turki bin Mohamed bin Fahd Al Saud and Vice Chairman of the Saudi Fund of Development Khalid bin Sulaiman Al Khudairy in the capital of Turkmenistan on Wednesday.

The continuing interest of Saudi Arabia in strengthening and expanding many years of fruitful cooperation with Turkmenistan was emphasized during the meeting.

The Head of state invited partners from Saudi Arabia to consider implementing joint projects in the oil and gas sector, the chemical industry and agriculture. The relevance of holding regular business meetings and business forums was also noted.

The President of Turkmenistan and the guests expressed confidence in the successful development of Turkmen-Saudi relations that meet the goals of common success.

Turkmen Leader then invited King of Saudi Arabia Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to visit Turkmenistan at a convenient time for them.

During his visit, Saudi emir also met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov.
