Turkmen Food Company Intends to Establish Export to Neighboring Countries
Ýakyn Dost Economic Society intends to increase the variety of its products in this year’s fruit and vegetable harvest season.

Ýakyn Dost Economic Society aims to export its Garaja and Bagban trademarked products to Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.

According to Meylis Gelenov, a sales specialist at Ýakyn Dost, the company produces juices, jams and conserves from fruits and vegetables grown in Turkmenistan and sells them at the country’s stores.

Gelenov said the company intends to increase the variety of its products in this year’s fruit and vegetable harvest season, adding that it has now started producing seven varieties of jams packed in small 20-gram packages. The sales specialist said “this one-time breakfast jams are intended for hotels and resorts."

Ýakyn Dost Economic Society launched its production plant in 2018 in Lebap velayat’s Kerki city. The company acquires necessary fruits from local entrepreneurs and farmers' associations, which harvest between May and December.
