Türkmenhowaýollary (Turkmenistan Airlines) Agency, a flag carrier of Turkmenistan, will purchase Boeing 777-200F cargo plane.
President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov during the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on Friday signed the Resolution authorizing the Agency to conclude a sales contract with the Airсraft Finanсe Germany GmbH.
It is necessary to use all available opportunities to establish Turkmenistan as one of the largest international transport hubs. In this regard, domestic aviators will be able to expand the geography of regular cargo transportation and increase the frequency of flights on existing lines, the Head of State said during the meeting.
The President also noted that the modern aircraft that will be purchased by the Turkmenistan Airlines should meet the necessary requirements and international standards in terms of quality and safety.
Boeing 777-200F is considered as one of the world’s leading long-haul freighters. It can fly over 9,000 kilometers with a full payload of more than 100 tons.
Türkmenhowaýollary Agency currently operates eight Il-76TD cargo planes.
