Turkmen Enterprise Daily Produces 1 Ton of Frozen Fruits, Vegetables
The enterprise daily freezes 500 kilograms to 1 ton of fresh fruits and vegetables.

Preparations for the winter season are in full swing at Businesswoman Amandursun Begjanova’s Ashgabat-based enterprise for freezing fruits and vegetables, Turkmenistan’s Rysgal newspaper reported on Monday.

The enterprise daily freezes 500 kilograms to 1 ton of fresh fruits and vegetables. Its products can be purchased all year round at the Halk Market stores.

“Agreements with farmers and gardeners of our country allow the uninterrupted supply of fresh vegetables and fruits to the enterprise. The plant is fully automated in the production of frozen vegetables as a result of the use of advanced technologies developed in European countries,” Begjanova said.

The businesswoman said the use of instant freezing technology allows the product to retain its freshness and natural properties for a long time, adding that “freezing is carried out at -40 to -120 degrees Celsius. At the same time, the original taste and nutritional value of vegetables and fruits are preserved”.

The enterprise is currently freezing vegetables such as chopped potatoes, broccolis, eggplants, bell peppers, and fruits such as plums, blackberries, black currants, and peanuts. The company has refrigerating chambers with a capacity of 1,000 tons of products to keep the fresh products frozen in good quality.

The enterprise packages vegetables and fruits in half-kilogram packages for retail and in specially designed 10-kilogram plastic containers for restaurants, wedding venues, and confectionery factories.

The packaging for frozen products is made from local raw materials at Berk Plastic enterprise, which belongs to the Halk Market network.
