Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany Miguel Berger in a phone conversation on Friday noted the importance of regular meetings of representatives of the public and private sectors of the two states.
According to the Turkmen Foreign ministry’s Friday press release, the officials said these meetings provide great opportunities for achieving fruitful results in the key areas of bilateral cooperation between Turkmenistan and Germany.
Having considered the extensive agenda of bilateral cooperation, the diplomats especially noted the positive dynamics of the development of relations in the political-diplomatic, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres.
The diplomats also exchanged views on the current situation related to COVID-19 pandemic and considered the opportunities of developing joint efforts against its spread in the world.
Expressing a common desire to develop mutually beneficial partnership in various areas, the officials stated the need to consolidate efforts to continue the tradition of the support of initiatives and undertakings of each other on international platforms.
