Businessman Atamyrat Jumakuliyev’s private sock factory in Turkmenabat city in Turkmenistan’s northeastern velayat of Lebap produces socks with a variety of colors, containing 75% pure cotton, Neytralnyi Turkmenistan newspaper reported on Saturday.
The businessman said elastic materials, such as spandex and elastane are added to the composition in order for the socks to last longer and not to deform during washing and wearing.
“We plan to expand production, in particular, to open a dyeing shop, and in the future to start producing undergarment,” said Jumakuliyev.
The enterprise produces high quality and a wide range of men, women, kids and teenagers socks intended for daily use, festivities and sports, according to the report.
The sock factory, the first in Turkmenabat, was commissioned in 2017 and presently employs 42 people.
