Turkmenistan’s first IT platform will soon open on the territory of the Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics of Turkmenistan in Ashgabat, Neytralny Turkmenistan newspaper reported on Thursday.
According to the report, the Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics of Turkmenistan, Ashgabat City Telephone Network (AŞTU) and Altyn Asyr CJSC are the founders of the IT platform.
The graduate of the Institute Yagmyrguly Garov will head the country's first innovative IT platform.
The two-storey building of the IT platform offers office space for domestic companies working in the field of information technology. The infrastructure of the site is designed for 150 places. The building will also include a "business" zone with 50 seats. Both large enterprises and students, as well as any citizens with experience in the development of different software, can act as residents of the IT platform.
The main task of the new innovation center of the capital is to unite laureates and participants of competitions for young scientists and innovators in the field of information and communication technologies
Starting from the first days of the organizational period, the IT platform established cooperation with the Center for Young Scientists of Turkmenistan and with the councils included in its structure. A number of joint projects are already being implemented with the Turkmenistan’s Halkbank State Commercial Bank, the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, the State Art Academy and the State Institute of Culture.
