The Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population of Turkmenistan and the UNDP as part of the joint project organized an online seminar from September 15-18.
According to the UNDP’s Tuesday press release, 20 specialists from the Labour and Employment Departments of Ashgabat, Tejen, Mary, Turkmenabat, Turkmenbashi and Dashoguz took part in the online seminar.
The main purpose of the seminar was to familiarize and discuss various methods and techniques for providing consulting and psychological assistance in the field of employment to young people.
The online seminar included practical exercises, during which participants were able to apply methods for assessing the emotional state of the interlocutor, discussed the difference between active listening and hearing.
“Knowledge of the basic techniques and rules of communication significantly increases the likelihood of successful interviews with our population, in particular, with young women and men seeking employment," Deputy Head of the Labour Resources and Employment Department of the Turkmen Ministry Batyr Gurbannazarov said.
The seminar participants stressed that the online format is another innovation in the work of the employment services of Turkmenistan, which was held on a high level.
