Chinese Company to Build Residential Buildings in Kabul
The first phase of the project includes the construction of a complex of 56 five-story blocks on the allocated 21-hectare plot.

A contract for the construction of 1,400 apartments was signed in Kabul in the presence of Afghan President Ashraf Ghani, ORIENT news outlet reported on Wednesday with reference to the Afghan media.

According to the report, representatives of the Ministry of Urban Development and Lands of Afghanistan and the Chinese company MCC 19 signed the relevant document.

The first phase of the project includes the construction of a complex of 56 five-story blocks on the allocated 21-hectare plot. The complex includes 280 four-room, 560 three-room and 560 two-room apartments. New housing will be provided to civil servants of Afghanistan.

The first phase of the $71 million project is expected to be completed in 40 months.
