President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received on Thursday the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to Turkmenistan Shin Sung-chul, who presented his credentials to the Head of State.
According to the TDH news agency, the new Ambassador conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from President of South Korea Moon Jae-in to the Head of State.
Emphasizing the importance attached to cooperation with the Central Asian countries, where Turkmenistan occupies a leading position, the diplomat expressed his country's deep interest in the further progressive development of interstate dialogue that meets common goals and interests.
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said he intends to pay a return visit to the Republic of Korea immediately after the interstate borders are opened and favorable external conditions are created for the next summit meeting.
The new Ambassador assured the Turkmen Leader that, for his part, he will do everything possible to fully deepen the traditionally good Turkmen-Korean relations and to comprehensively expand multifaceted mutually beneficial cooperation.
