New Stores, Markets to Appear in Turkmenistan’s Lebap Velayat
In 2021, the government institutions plan the reconstruction of the Central Market in Turkmenabat and the modernization of large stores in Charjev, Dyanev, Sayat and Farap etraps.

Deputy Prime Minister of Turkmenistan Chary Gylyjov during an off-site Cabinet of Ministers meeting on Thursday reported to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on the ongoing work on the reconstruction of trade and industrial facilities in Lebap velayat.

According to TDH news agency’s Thursday report, the Deputy Prime Minister reported that the Lebap Velayat Association of Consumer Societies under the Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations of Turkmenistan is planning to construct 10 modern stores.

Gylyjov noted that in 2021, the government institutions also plan the reconstruction of the Central Market in Turkmenabat and the modernization of large stores in Charjev, Dyanev, Sayat and Farap etraps.

Following the report, Turkmen President noted that the trade sector is one of the leading industries demonstrating the advanced positions and achievements of the national economy in the transition to market relations.

In this regard, the Head of State continued, the priority tasks are to increase the volume of trade, saturate the domestic market with products and increase the production of export-oriented goods.

The creation of an enterprise for the production of pasta products and a plant for the production of vegetable and fruit preserves is also planned on the basis of production facilities located in the industrial zone of Turkmenabat city.
