President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on Thursday held a working meeting via video link on the development of the country’s construction and industrial complex.
During the meeting, the Minister of Construction and Architecture, the Minister of Industry and Construction Production, the Minister of Energy, the Chairman of the Türkmenhimiýa (Turkmen Chemicals) State Concern, the Hyakim of Ashgabat, the rectors of the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction and the State Energy Institute reported on activities of the entities under their supervision, TDH news agency reports.
Turkmen President expressed grave dissatisfaction with the work of the Ministry of Construction and Architecture, stressing the need for a wider introduction of advanced technologies and know-hows in the construction sector.
At the same time, the Head of State emphasized the importance of a scientific approach in the development of architectural projects of buildings and recommendations of scientists, taking into account the seismicity of the region.
Expressing dissatisfaction with the work of the Türkmenhimiýa SC, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted the importance of accelerating the pace of work in the country to increase the volume and expand the range of chemical products, which are in high demand in domestic and foreign markets.
The Head of State gave the Vice-Premier Shamuhammet Durdyliyev specific instructions to strengthen control over building up the production and export potential of the state structures under his supervision.
Addressing the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Gadyrgeldi Mushshikov, Turkmen President emphasized the importance of developing program actions to maintain the further stable development of the national economic complex and instructed to keep under control the issues of profitability of enterprises, increasing their productivity, fulfilling the planned programs to increase the volume of import-substituting and export-oriented products.
The Head of State emphasized the need to strictly control the dynamics of measures to reduce the cost of production and work by analyzing the estimate and eliminating unnecessary costs, and to achieve production efficiency and profitability of enterprises, taking into account the investments allocated by the state.
Turkmen Leader highlighted the significance of increasing the inflow of funds in freely convertible currency through the search for new markets and measures to sell the products.
Noting the importance of purchasing at a favorable price the imported goods, raw materials, spare parts and consumables for industrial purposes, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov stressed the importance of establishing direct cooperation with the manufacturers of the products.
The Head of State emphasized that the county presently imports using foreign currency the glass and glass products from abroad, and pointed out the need to carry out measures to increase the production capacity of the Türkmen Aýna Önümleri (Turkmen Glass Products) enterprise and expand the range of produced products and their export volumes.
During the meeting, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov announced a severe reprimand to the Chairman of the Türkmenhimiýa SC Niyazly Niyazliyev for improper performance of official duties and shortcomings in his work.
