Turkmen Government Meeting Discusses Further Development of Country's Trade Complex
The Head of State noted the importance of intensifying trade and commercial relations with other countries.

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting via video link on Friday dedicated to the results of the development of the country's trade complex in the past year, TDH news agency reports.

Following the reports of the heads of the departments of the complex, Turkmen President emphasized that it is necessary to maximize the production capacity of the complex, widely introduce digital systems, the latest achievements of science and technology into the industry, apply effective methods of labor organization at enterprises, and more actively attract foreign investment in production.

Addressing the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Chary Gylyjov, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov demanded to analyze the financial and economic indicators, production and economic activities of enterprises and departments of the trade complex, to ensure the full and proper functioning of the service and production sectors.

Taking into account the current situation in the global economy, it is necessary to improve the supply of the domestic market with food and essential goods, establish a wide network of digital commerce and delivery, and increase the range of services provided to the population, the Head of State stressed.

In addition, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized the relevance of transforming unprofitable textile industries into joint-stock companies with the attraction of private investments.

The Head of State also noted the importance of intensifying trade and commercial relations with other countries and activities of Trading houses of Turkmenistan in foreign countries in order to increase the popularity of domestic high-quality branded textiles in foreign markets.

Turkmen President instructed the Vice-Premier Gadyrgeldi Mushshikov to regularly analyze the financial and economic conditions of the trade complex, prepare proposals for improving funding of the sector, and to keep under constant control the settlement of inter-sectoral debts and repayment of loans.
