Government delegation of Turkmenistan on Wednesday in Moscow held a number of meetings with the heads of state structures of Russia, leading Russian companies operating in the trade, economic, energy, chemical industry, agricultural, cultural and humanitarian fields.
During the visit, the Turkmen officials held meetings with the heads of the Ministry of Health of the Russia, the Gamaleya Research Center, the Federal State Statistics Service, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Russia, Sberbank PJSC, Gazprom PJSC, GAZPROM Schweiz AG, Ural Works of Civil Aviation JSC, Samoilov Scientific Research Institute, Russian Direct Investment Fund, Russian State Circus Company, Krastsvetmet JSC and Transcapitalbank, the Turkmen Foreign Ministry said in a press release.
In a meeting with the Russian oil and gas company Lukoil’s officials, the sides discussed issues of developing cooperation in the energy sector, conceptual issues of further cooperation and potential joint projects.
Turkmen delegation also held a meeting with the management of Kamaz company. The sides noted the potential opportunities for expanding cooperation in the transport and considered the possibilities of attracting the company to significant projects carried out in Turkmenistan.
The interest to expand cooperation of Turkmenistan in the information field was emphasized at the meetings with the officials of Mir Interstate Television and Radio Company and Russian State Television and Radiobroadcasting Company. The parties discussed practical interaction between the State Committee of Turkmenistan on Television, Radio Broadcasting and Cinematography and the Russian broadcasting companies.
The Turkmen delegation led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov is paying a working visit to Russia. During the visit, Turkmenistan's top diplomat will hold talks with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov and attend a meeting of the CIS Council of Foreign Ministers in Moscow on April 2.
