President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on Thursday got acquainted with the activities of the plant for the production of gasoline from natural gas in Ahal velayat and exchanged views with the officials of the country’s oil and gas sector regarding the construction of its second stage.
The head of the Ahal gas-to-gasoline plant Dovrangeldi Sapbayev reported to President on the activities of the plant, the duration of continuous technological processes, and on the necessary measures to progressively increase the production of high-quality gasoline, the country’s official media reports.
During the talks with the officials, the President of Turkmenistan noted the importance of timely return of funds attracted from abroad for the implementation of large-scale projects in the country.
The importance of paying special attention to the possibilities of establishing and broadly studying the production of hydrogen, which is considered as the "fuel of the future" in the developed countries of the world, was also noted during the meeting.
In turn, the director of the Natural Gas Research Institute of the State Concern "Türkmengaz" Bayrammyrat Pirnyyazov informed that the specialists of the Institute are carrying out a preliminary technical, economic and scientific assessment of the construction of a facility for the production of 6 thousand tons of isobutane per year, as well as a new modern gas chemical complex in the Primorsky region, located in the Akhal velayat.
The Akhal plant for the production of gasoline from gas produces 1,800 tons of gasoline daily. These are high-quality products that meet environmental requirements, and are delivered to Afghanistan and European countries on the basis of concluded contracts.
In turn, the Director of the Scientific Research Institute of Natural Gas of the Türkmengaz State Concern Bayrammyrat Pirnyyazov informed that the specialists of the Institute are carrying out a preliminary technical, economic and scientific assessment of the construction of a facility for the production of 6 thousand tons of isobutane per year in the Ahal GTG plant, and a new modern gas chemical complex in the Balkan velayat.
The Ahal GTG plant produces 1,800 tons of gasoline daily. The plant’s products that are exported to Afghanistan and European countries on the basis of concluded contracts.
