The joint project of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations of Turkmenistan called "Strengthening the Trade Capacity of Turkmenistan" delivered series of online trainings on the application of advanced information and marketing technologies in trade in five velayats of the country, the UNDP said in its Wednesday press release.
The trainings were attended representatives from the Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations of Turkmenistan, State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan, Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, and Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan.
The purpose of the series of online trainings is to promote the expansion of the country's export potential through advanced training of specialists working in the field of trade regulation of Turkmenistan.
“The topic of the online training is relevant as the world community is increasingly switching to the use of advanced information and marketing technologies in domestic and international trade”, Rovshen Nurmuhamedov, UNDP Assistant Resident Representative in Turkmenistan, said in the statement.
Mr. Ravinder Raina, international expert in training and advising government and private entities around the world, presented various tools of advanced information and marketing technologies that are practiced at the international level to stimulate retail and wholesale trade within the country, as well as to promote exports to reach international potential customers.
The objective of the joint project is building trade capacity of the country through the development of human capital.
