Turkmenistan’s Owadan Ülke Economic Society plans to increase the production of fruit jams by five times compared to the previous year to 100 thousand jars this season, the country’s official media reported on Wednesday.
The company specializing in the production of canned vegetables and fruits, mayonnaise, ketchup and jams under the NUR and Mylaýym trademarks, is reportedly expanding its assortment and increasing the production of new types of products from local raw materials.
The enterprise, located in the Ak Bugday etrap of the Ahal velayat, along with traditional jams made from domestic products – apple, apple with cinnamon, carrot, pumpkin and quince, and melon – will simultaneously release new types of jam from agricultural products grown by domestic entrepreneurs. In cooperation with confectionery manufacturers, Owadan Ülke is also launching the production of fillings from black currant, peach, apricot, cherry and strawberry.
Owadan Ülke produces three types of mayonnaise under the Mylaýym trademark, the recipe of which includes local cottonseed oil.
