The total amount of transactions concluded in foreign currency at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan over the past week exceeded $39.47 million.
For foreign currency, the businesses from Russia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Turkey, Afghanistan, China’s Hong Kong and Uzbekistan purchased polypropylene, aviation kerosene, diesel fuel and hydrotreated diesel fuel produced at the Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries (TCOR), the official media of Turkmenistan reported on Monday.
The companies from Russia, the UAE, Turkey and Uzbekistan bought denim, cotton yarn float glass for foreign currency.
The businesses based in the UK, the UAE and Kazakhstan also purchased cotton yarn for over 21.5 million manats.
For the domestic market, local businesses purchased petroleum bitumen and hand-made carpets for over 1.4 million manats.
The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan registered a total of 55 transactions last week.
