President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov approved the volume of oil products, including the volume of gasoline, diesel and marine fuel, and jet fuel, for domestic consumers in 2022.
The document was adopted in accordance with the Program of Development of the Oil and Gas Industry of Turkmenistan until 2030, and in order to ensure the uninterrupted provision of institutions, enterprises, businesses and the population with oil products, as well as to successfully achieve their most efficient use, the online newspaper of the Oil and Gas Complex of Turkmenistan reported on Monday.
The document was submitted to the Head of State by Deputy Chairman of the Government Shahym Abdrakhmanov, overseeing the country's oil and gas industry during the online cabinet meeting last Friday.
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized the important role of the fuel-energy complex in the national economy. In this regard, he emphasized the importance of a systematic increase in the volume of production and refining of oil and natural gas, the production of a variety of petrochemicals in demand in the country and in the world markets, as well as expanding its range.
The President instructed to step up work on introducing modern resource-saving technologies into the industry and to keep under constant control the implementation of major infrastructure projects aimed at increasing the export potential of the energy sector.
Having signed the relevant document, the President Berdimuhamedov instructed to ensure proper implementation of its provisions.
