Turkmenistan’s Owadan Ülke Unveils Margarine From Cottonseed Oil
The margarines are available in 62%, 67% and 82% fat contents.

The Turkmen food products company Owadan Ülke has started producing Hazyna branded margarine from cottonseed oil – the first such food product in the country. The supply of new products has already started to domestic markets.

In an interview with Business Turkmenistan at an exhibition dedicated to the 14th anniversary of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan (UIET) on Thursday, the company’s representative Kerim Amanmyradov said the margarines are available in 62%, 67% and 82% fat contents. These products are sold in packages of 200 g and 250 g as well as in large packages of 10 kg and 20 kg.

Owadan Ülke’s new workshop can daily process 20 tons of cottonseed, which are bought from local farmers.

The Turkmen company has also launched the production of Hazyna branded chocolate paste.

Owadan Ülke, which currently employs about 170 people, was founded in 2016.
