President Serdar berdimuhamedov met with President of Russia’s Tatarstan Republic Rustam Minnikhanov on Sunday in Ashgabat.
During the meeting, Rustam Minnikhanov expressed the interest of the business community of Tatarstan in expanding its presence in Turkmen market, the official Turkmen media reports.
The Head of Tatarstan arrived in Turkmenistan to participate in the celebrations of the National Turkmen Horse Day.
Taking the opportunity, President Rustam Minnikhanov once again congratulated the Turkmen President on his convincing victory in the elections, and wished him success in his ambitious work at the highest state post.
The Head of Turkmenistan said expansion of cooperation with Russia, its regions and leading industrial centers is among the key vectors of Turkmenistan's foreign policy.
Noting that over the last few years Tatarstan has accumulated impressive experience in developing and implementing digital technologies, President Berdimuhamedov stated Turkmenistan is interested in using the best practices of Tatarstan in the field of modern technology.
Highly appreciating the solid level of bilateral cooperation achieved in recent years, the Head of State stressed that Turkmenistan considers Tatarstan a reliable and promising partner. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov highlighted the importance of Minnikhanov’s participation in the celebrations dedicated to the National Turkmen Horse Day, and expressed confidence that this visit would be another step in strengthening the Turkmen-Tatarstan friendship and cooperation.
