The operation of Nebitgazdüýpliabatlaýyş well workover enterprise of the Türkmennebit (Turkmen Oil) State Concern in the first four months of this year resulted in the additional production of over 42.3 thousand tons of oil instead of the planned 26.3 thousand tons.
The enterprise has successfully performed workovers at 219 wells during the period, putting into operation 175 of them, the online newspaper of the Oil and Gas Complex of Turkmenistan reported on Tuesday.
During the period, the production of natural gas from the newly commissioned wells by the enterprise neared 11.3 million cubic meters. The implementation of the improved technologies has contributed to the production, according to the report.
In early February, the Turkmen President signed a document on allocating to the Türkmennebit over 250 million manats of investment for the development of the oil and gas industry.
