Iran’s Non-Oil Trade With Turkmenistan Surges 79%
Major products exported to Turkmenistan were building materials, minerals, detergents and etc.

Iran’s non-oil trade turnover with Turkmenistan exceeded $299.72 million last year, a 79% increase compared to the previous year, the IRNA news agency reported on Monday with reference to the data of Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).

The total volume of traded non-oil goods last year amounted to 1.014 million tons, according to Iranian customs.

Major products exported to Turkmenistan were dairy products, fruits and vegetables, dried fruits, foods, fruit juices, confectionaries, building materials, minerals, detergents, hygiene products and cosmetics, industrial oils, bitumen and chemicals, petroleum products, all kinds of essential oils and floor coverings, ferrous metal products, industrial machinery, crockery, kitchen appliances, clothing, bags and shoes, paper, fabrics, yarn, accessories, electronics, and crafts.

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov is expected to start his two-day visit to Iran today. Tehran and Ashgabat are expected to sign some documents and memoranda of understanding to strengthen bilateral cooperation.
