The Vice President of Turkey Fuat Oktay on Saturday in an interview with Turkish TV news channel TRT Haber on his visit to Turkmenistan announced the plans on the holding of a trilateral Turkey-Turkmenistan-Azerbaijan summit.
Oktay said the Turkish President Erdogan invited the Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to Turkey, stating that the Turkey-Turkmenistan-Azerbaijan trilateral summit will be held after the visit.
The Turkish Vice President added that one well could be operated together in the Turkmen-Azerbaijani hydrocarbon field Dostluk. He said the realization of this mutually beneficial project will be extremely beneficial for the people of the region.
Delivery of Turkmen Natural Gas to Turkey
During the interview, Oktay said three options for the delivery of Turkmen natural gas to Turkey are being worked out, and preparatory activities in this direction are coming to an end.
He informed that that the options are using the TANAP line through the Caspian Sea, the SWAP agreement, or via ships and pipeline.
Oktay said the Turkmen President is providing strong support to quickly achieve results.
The sixth meeting of the Turkmen-Turkish Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation was held on Friday during the Turkish Vice President’s visit to Ashgabat.
