Turkmenabat Chemical Plant in Turkmenistan’s eastern province of Lebap produced more than 135,000 tons of phosphate fertilizers in the first six months of this year.
The plant also produced more than 58 thousand tons of sulfuric acid and 120 thousand cubic meters of oxygen during the period, the country’s official media reported on Thursday.
Over the six months of this year, the factory produced 216 tons of bleach and 2,200 tons of sulfur-infused disinfectant chemicals designed to protect crops from pests.
The company also manufactures different ceramic products, polyethylene pipes and containers.
Türkmenhimiýa (Turkmen Chemicals) State Concern’s Turkmenabat Chemical Plant, which is one of the country’s largest chemical facilities, employs about 1,400 people and includes 26 production workshops.
