The total amount of transactions concluded in foreign currency at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan over the past week amounted to nearly $5.5 million, the country’s official media reports.
For foreign currency, the Emirati businesses purchased aviation kerosene produced by the Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries, and the companies from Turkey and Afghanistan procured liquefied gas of Türkmenhimiýa (Turkmen Chemicals) State Concern.
For the domestic market, local businesses procured high density polyethylene of Türkmenhimiýa, construction materials, plastic products and handmade carpets for a total amount of 14.24 million manats.
The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan registered a total of 20 transactions last week.
