Turkmenistan’s Barcode Organization and Turkmen CCI Ink Cooperation Document
The document, signed at the Turkmen CCI building, aims to develop the export potential of Turkmen producers and their unimpeded access to world markets.

The heads of the National Barcode Organization of Turkmenistan GS1 Turkmenistan Aykamar Malikguliyeva and Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the country Dovletgeldi Rejepov signed a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation at the building in Ashgabat on Tuesday, GS1 Turkmenistan said its press release.

The document, signed at the Turkmen CCI building, aims to develop the export potential of Turkmen producers and their unimpeded access to world markets.

The organization said the implementation of the Memorandum provides for joint activities to enhance the knowledge and awareness of domestic producers of the rules of international trade, export procedures, quality and conformity standards, as well as the specific requirements of foreign markets.

The signing ceremony participants expressed confidence that the document would take relations between the two organizations to a new level, contribute to activation of bar-coding, mutually beneficial cooperation between representatives of the Turkmen business circles and foreign colleagues and, in general, consistently develop trade and economic, investment, scientific and technical potential of Turkmenistan, strengthen the position of the country as an active participant in the international trade-economic processes.

The National Barcode Organization of Turkmenistan was established on March 27, 2014. In May 2015, the organization received the status of a full member of the international organization GS1, headquartered in Brussels, which includes 119 national organizations from around the world and received the right to use the brand GS1 Turkmenistan.
