The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan (SCRMET) during Thursday trades registered 28 deals for the procurement of liquefied gas, diesel fuel, cotton yarn and oil road bitumen. The deals amounted to more than $16.9 million and 3 million manats.
Businesses from Afghanistan and the United Arab Emirates purchased 14.9 thousand tons of L-0.2-62 diesel fuel for a total of $12.8 million, the SCRMET announced on Friday.
Turkish and Afghan business circles purchased 7,950 tons of liquefied gas worth $3.7 million. The price of each ton of this product, sold at the SCRMET auction, amounted to $475 US dollars.
Turkish companies additionally purchased 100,000 kilograms of different types of cotton yarn for foreign currency, and 32,400 kilograms of them for national currency. The total amount of transactions amounted to $235.4 thousand and 1.9 million manats.
For the domestic market, local entrepreneurs purchased 1,000 tons of oil road bitumen for a total of 2 million manats.
Last week, the total amount of transactions concluded in foreign currency at the auctions of the SCRMET amounted to more than $27 million.
