A delegation of Turkmen journalists visited the Atatürk Pavilion in Trabzon, a historic mansion closely associated with the founder of the Republic of Turkey, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.

Built in 1890, the mansion is a striking example of European-style architecture from that era. Atatürk visited the residence multiple times—in 1924, 1930, and 1937—during his trips to Turkey’s Black Sea region. It was in this house, in 1937, that he wrote his will, bequeathing all his possessions to the Turkish people.

The delegation included representatives from Business Turkmenistan, Turkmenportal, Orient, News Central Asia, Atavatan Türkmenistan, Medeniýet we Syýahat magazine, and Türkmenistan TV4.

During the visit, the journalists toured the museum’s interior, where original furniture, personal belongings, photographs, and documents related to Atatürk’s life and work are preserved. The exhibit offers insight into how Turkey’s first president lived and worked, providing a rare glimpse into the atmosphere of the time.

Following the tour, the journalists explored the streets of Trabzon, experiencing the coastal city’s architecture and unique local charm.
