An exhibition organized by representatives of the private sector of Turkmenistan on the occasion of the 12th anniversary of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (UIET) kicked off on Tuesday.
The two-day exhibition, which began at the expocenter of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Ashgabat, is a platform for exploring the achievements of the private sector of the economy of Turkmenistan.
A conference of members of the UIET also takes place on the sidelines of the exhibition.
President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov addressed to the participants at the opening of the exhibition and conference of the UIET. In the congratulatory letter, the Head of State underlined the private sector's large contribution to the rapid socio-economic development of Turkmenistan, and to the successful implementation of state programs based on fundamental reforms.
The exhibition of products and services of local industrialists and entrepreneurs vividly demonstrates that the private sector plays an important role in the diversification of the national economy, harmonious development of all sectors and regions, establishment of modern import substitution industries, and strengthening export potential, Turkmen Leader wrote in the letter.
“We will continue providing support to our entrepreneurs, paying particular attention to the economic growth, improvement of market relations, in particular, accelerating the development of the private sector of the economy,” the President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said.
Turkmen businesses acquaint visitors of the exhibition with their activities in such areas as agriculture, industrial production, service, technology, food production and software.
