The Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, the National Leader of Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov gave sadaqah in memory of Ogulabat Berdimuhamedova at the Hezreti Omar Mosque in Ashgabat on Friday, the country’s official media reported.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov warmly greeted everyone and said he honors the tradition of Turkmen people, and gives Iftar sadaqah in memory of his mother Ogulabat Berdimuhamedova.
The National Leader of Turkmen people thanked for the condolences on the death of Ogulabat Berdimuhamedova from the citizens, as well as from the Heads of foreign countries.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said: "May Allah accept sadaqah and prayers in memory of my mother Ogulabat eje, who is an example of loyalty and love to the family! May her soul rest in peace!"
At the end of the Iftar meal, the Grand Mufti of Turkmenistan recited duas for Ogulabat eje, the beloved mother of the Halk Maslahaty Chairman and grandmother of the Turkmen President.
Moreover, Iftar meals were also given in mosques all over the capital city and provinces.
