In the northern province of Turkmenistan, Dashoguz, plans are in place to build a water reservoir with a capacity of 90 million cubic meters along the Türkmenderýa channel, and projects are underway to concretize more than 100 kilometers of the Şasenem channel, the official Turkmen media reported on Tuesday.
According to the report, Garagum Altyn Asyr Türkmen Köl Gurluşyk enterprise has employed 14 high-performance machines, 9 excavators, and 5 bulldozers, which were recently purchased abroad for the construction work in the province.
The head of Garagum Altyn Asyr Türkmen Köl Gurluşyk, Bayram Kazakov, said that improving melioration conditions in Dashoguz province, including washing soil from salt, is of great importance, and that a 9.4-kilometer-long channel for draining salt water is built to solve this issue.
Kazakov also noted that the company is paying special attention to the construction of the Altyn asyr Turkmen Lake and that the first stage of the branch from Dashoguz has been completed.
