Iran and Uzbekistan agreed to develop a trilateral transport multimodal corridor Uzbekistan-Turkmenistan-Iran, UzDaily media outlet reported on Monday.
The agreements were reached at the talks between Uzbek Transport Minister Ilhom Mahkamov and Iranian Road and Urban Development Minister Mehrdad Bazrposh in Tashkent on Sunday.
According to the report, the sides will soon agree on a document to reduce on a parity basis the fees levied by Iran on Uzbek national carriers for cargo transportation by road, as well as equalization of tax levies on fuel with taxes of other countries.
In addition, the parties agreed to establish an Iranian-Uzbekistan logistics center and build terminals and warehouses with the participation of Uzbek entrepreneurs at the Chabahar and Bandar Abbas ports in Iran.
