Schengen business visa is a short-stay visa that allows travel to the Schengen area for business purposes for up to 90 days within a 180-day period. In addition to the required documents, applicants for this visa must also provide information about the business activities they plan to conduct in the Schengen area, as well as the business relations between their company and the company they will be visiting.

Among the additional documents that must be provided are:

a copy of the company's trade license in the applicant's country of residence;

a letter of invitation from the company/authority in the destination country, including their full address and the nature and duration of the trip;

information about the event in the country of destination, including details of the host/organizer of the event, as well as their full address, duration of the event, and justification for the applicant's participation;

for an observer at the fair: relevant information about the fair in the country visited, in the form of a ticket/confirmation letter/invoice indicating valid exhibitor status;

materials reflecting the state of trade relations between the country of residence of the applicant and the country visited.

The visa application can be submitted through the embassy or consulate of the country visited or through the visa application center associated with the consulate.

The processing time for a Schengen business visa is usually about two weeks (15 days). In some rare cases, it may take 30 to 60 days for the consulate to make a decision on the application.

The European Union Parliament and the EU Commission recently reached an agreement on the digitalization of the visa procedure for Schengen countries.
